Request Account Deletion
We're sorry to see you go. If you wish to delete your StoryBrook account and associated data, please follow the steps below.
How to Request Account Deletion
- Send an email to support@appsphereone.net with the subject line "Delete My Account"
- Include the email address associated with your StoryBrook account in the body of the email
- We will verify your identity and process your deletion request within 30 days
- You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted
What Happens to Your Data
When you request account deletion, the following actions will be taken:
Data That Will Be Deleted
- Your account information (email address, login credentials)
- All child profiles (names, ages, avatar preferences)
- Reading preferences and story favorites
- Reading progress and history
- App settings and personalization preferences
- Any custom AI-generated stories created for your account
- Downloaded offline content associated with your account
Data That May Be Retained
- Anonymized usage analytics - Non-identifiable, aggregated data used to improve StoryBrook (cannot be traced back to you)
- Transaction records - Purchase history and subscription records are retained for 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations
- Legal compliance data - Any data required to be retained by applicable laws or to resolve disputes
Retention Period
Your account deletion request will be processed within 30 days of receipt. During this period:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately upon request verification
- Your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- You will not be able to recover your account or data after deletion is complete
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled (refunds are subject to Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies)
In-App Deletion Option
You can also delete your account directly from within the StoryBrook app:
- Open StoryBrook and go to Settings
- Tap on Account
- Select Delete Account
- Confirm your decision when prompted
This will immediately initiate the account deletion process with the same data handling as described above.
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you want to proceed before submitting your request. If you have any questions, contact us before requesting deletion.
